The music of the Kirby games is cheerful but not relentlessly so. In fact, Kirby’s swan song on the Super NES, Kirby’s Dream Land 3, has some slightly more down-tempo tracks. This quickie episode is just those: not a comprehensive look at this game, but a more moody take on Kirby, some of Jun Ishikawa’s best work and some of the best music we ever got from Nintendo’s 16-bit era.
